ADAM BRODY: I Was A Jacka** Over KRISTIN STEWART Criticism!

Former The O.C. star Adam Brody regrets ever suggesting Kristen Stewart  should give up acting – because he “sounded like an idiot” and isn’t surprised he was slammed for the remarks.

Brody riled Twilight fans when he insisted the actress should quit her movie career if fame gets too much for her.

Referring to the actress in an interview with Diablo Cody, he said:

“It’s only gotten worse, I’m sure, being a celebrity. At the same time, I don’t have a lot of patience for people who moan about it too much. Because there are many things you could do… It’s like, quit… you don’t need to be an actor, so it’s like, if it’s that much of a problem… there’s the door.”

These comments sparked an online hate campaign from loyal followers of the vampire franchise – and now even Brody admits his words were too harsh.

Speaking to MTV News, he says:

“It wasn’t taken out of context. I saw (the interview) and thought I sounded like an idiot. I did. Regardless of how anyone else took anything, I would think that sounds very ungentlemanly and I sounded like a jacka**.”

Oh dear, Adam… When you eventually get to her level of popularity I’m sure you’ll really understand what it feels like to be slated in the same way.
