LaBeouf Excited About Next ‘INDIANA JONES’ Movie!

By on 23 August, 2010

Transformers star Shia LaBeouf has confirmed that he is in talks to return in the fifth installment of the ‘Indiana Jones‘ franchise – the Daily Express reports.

Harrison Ford reprised his role as the heroic archaeologist in 2008’s ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull‘, nearly 20 years after 1989’s ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade‘.

Ford has since confirmed movie bosses Steven Spielberg and George Lucas are working on a follow-up, but stresses he will only sign up if he likes the story. And now LaBeouf, who played Jones‘ son Mutt in the latest film, is looking forward to the new storyline.

He says:

“They’re scriptwriting now. It sounds crazy. It sounds really cool.”

Despite various reports previously suggesting that the project was shelved, the movie has apparently been pencilled in for a 2012 release – potentially coinciding with Ford‘s 70th birthday!
