Mulligan Joins Luhrmann’s ‘Gatsby’ Project!

Deadline.com reports that Carey Mulligan has been confirmed for the female lead in the upcoming ‘The Great Gatsby‘.

Mulligan, long rumoured to be in the running, will take on the role of Daisy Buchanan, the female protagonist with whom Gatsby falls in love and begins an affair.

Mulligan will join Leonardo DiCaprio in the role of Gatsby with reports heavily pointing towards Tobey Maguire stepping in as Nick Carraway, the novel’s narrator and best friend to Gatbsy.

What a fantastic piece of casting, and proof that Britain still continues to churn out fantastic talent!
