Stallone Believes Audiences Crave ‘Real’ Action Flicks!

By on 6 July, 2010

Sylvester Stallone eagerly wanted to start shooting his all-out action film The Expendables…..because he’s tired of the current trend for “sophisticated” movies.

The Rocky actor is directing and starring in the highly-anticipated movie, which sees some of Hollywood’s toughest stars (including Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Mickey Rourke) team up for a hard-hitting box office outing, and Stallone is convinced film fans will rush to see it – because cinema-goers are craving to see actors perform all their own stunts.

Speaking to tabloid newspaper The Sun, he says:

“Films are too sophisticated. Audiences want something real.

“That’s why all the men in this new film do their own stunts and take some serious hits.”

I hope his movie lives up to all the hype!
