ADELE Poised To Record The New JAMES BOND Theme?

There’s one thing you can be sure of, second to death and taxes, and that is whenever there’s a James Bond movie in the works there will always be talk of who might be doing the theme song. The artist in the frame this time is British soul singer Adele, who is reportedly in line to record her offering to the movie franchise!

The Someone Like You singer is preparing to go into the studio to record the track, which she wrote during some time off whilst touring, and will then submit it for the next spy adventure which is currently being filmed.
A source close to the project told The Sun newspaper:

“Adele is the obvious choice to record the next Bond theme. The last few songs for the spy movies have hardly set the charts alight. After her success this year filmmakers know the song is almost guaranteed to be a huge hit.”

She’s set to be joined in the studio by producer Paul Epworth, who has previously worked with Plan B, Florence and the Machine and Cee Lo Green, so potentially a belter of a hit!
Other musical geniuses who previously recorded Bond themes include Sir Paul McCartney, Dame Shirley Bassey, Duran Duran, Matt MonroTom Jones,  and more recently Chris Cornell and a duet by Jack White and Alicia Keys.

Daniel Craig will return to the role of James Bond, and he recently said of his excitement after reading the script for ‘BOND 23, comparing it to when he read the one for ‘Casino Royale‘.
“We’ve got a great script this time. I’m as excited about this script as I was about the ‘Casino Royale’ script. I think in Sam we’ve got the perfect director. The cast is coming together now. I can’t wait to get going with it.”

The movie is expected to be released on the 9th November, 2012.
