The Hangover‘ star Bradley Cooper has been offered the chance to replace George Clooney in a remake of ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E‘, according to Variety!

The ‘Ocean’s Eleven‘ helmer, Steven Soderbergh, is set to remake the classic TV show for the big screen, and Clooney had reportedly signed up to step into the role of Napoleon Solo – made famous by ‘Hustle‘ star Robert Vaughn.

Citing other commitments as the reason, Clooney has left the project and the director has now offered the part to Cooper – which he hasn’t yet formally accepted (at the time of this article going to press).

The movie is reportedly set to start shooting in the spring 2012.
