Edwards To Helm ‘GODZILLA’ Reboot!

Gareth Edwards has been named as the helmer to bring Godzilla back to the big screen  – Heat Vision reports.

Edwards comes straight from the success of his kaiju-inspired ‘Monsters‘, produced for a famously low six-figure budget.

Since 1954, Godzilla has appeared in an array of movies, including a previous 1998 reboot. The new version has been compared to a ‘Batman Begins‘ restyling, but staying true to his Japanese roots.

A new rewrite of David Callaham‘s script is expected soon, and The movie has been earmarked for a 2012 release (no specific date as yet).
