Gwyneth Paltrow may make a cameo appearance in Marvel‘s ‘The Avengers‘, despite initially playing-down such rumours only a few months ago!

The ‘Iron Man‘ actress previously claimed her character Pepper Potts won’t appear in the superhero ensemble movie, even though Robert Downey Jr., who plays her on-screen boss Tony Stark and his superhero alter-ego Iron Man will, but she has now conceded there could be a small part for her after all.

She says:

“I’ll probably be in ‘Iron Man 3’. I’ll possibly be very briefly in ‘The Avengers’. Maybe, we’ll see.”

If Paltrow does take on a role in the flick, she will join a host of stars including Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Jeremy Renner and Tom Hiddleston.

Paltrow previously appeared disillusioned with her character Potts, and admitted she was keen to expand the role.

She adds:

“Maybe for the third one, they have to mix it up a little. I don’t want to just keep sitting there with a cell phone headpiece.”
