Studio Sets A Release Date For ‘TITANIC 3-D’!

The official release date for James Cameron‘s ‘TITANIC 3-D‘ has been announced – and it will fall on the fateful ship’s centenary anniversary, as previously planned!

Paramount Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox and Lightstorm Entertainment said in a joint statement that Cameron‘s movie re-release will be on the 6th April, 2012 – worldwide.

The long-in-the-works 3-D conversion of the second-highest grossing movie of all time will premiere around the 100th anniversary of the Titanic setting sail (1oth April, 1912). Cameron has been personally overseening the conversion, and he believes this will be Titanic as you’ve never seen it before!

He says:

“There’s a whole generation that’s never seen ‘Titanic’ as it was meant to be seen, on the big screen. And this will be ‘Titanic’ as you’ve never seen it before, digitally re-mastered at 4K and painstakingly converted to 3D.

“With the emotional power intact and the images more powerful than ever, this will be an epic experience for fans and newcomers alike.”

I know there were a lot people who didn’t like it, but I have no shame in saying that I’m a huge fan of this movie. I for one am looking forward to this version!
