IDRIS ELBA Confirms Role In THOR Sequel!
Golden Globe winner Idris Elba has confirmed that one of the upcoming projects he’s involved in will be the sequel to ‘THOR‘ – according to MTV!
Elba won a Golden Globe in the Best Performance By An Actor In A Mini-Series Or A Motion Picture Made For Television category for the critically acclaimed BBC series ‘LUTHER‘ at the weekend (15th January, 2012), and the excited actor let a few things slip about his work schedule – namely the sequel to Marvel big screen movie ‘THOR‘. Although this is good news for fans, he was coy about whether his character Heimdall would return for another ‘AVENGERS‘!
He said:
“Thor 2′ for sure. ‘Avengers,’ we’re not sure about, but ‘Thor 2’ we’re going at it again.”
He was also excited about his forthcoming role in Guillermo Del Toro‘s epic monster versus robot movie ‘Pacific Rim‘, adding:
“I love it!
“Guillermo’s a genius, and the film we’re making is a huge film, bad monster movie and robots and me.”
A GOLDEN GLOBE today, an Oscar tomorrow? Well…maybe not just yet!
