JIM CARREY Leaves DUMB AND DUMBER Sequel Project!

Jim Carrey Exits Dumb And Dumber Sequel

Jim Carrey has left the planned ‘Dumb and Dumber‘ sequel, allegedly following a dispute with studios New Line and Warner Bros. For shame!

The comic actor had been due to join Jeff Daniels in the follow-up to the hit 1994 movie but has now dropped out of the project (tentatively titled ‘Dumb and Dumber To‘), supposedly due to a dispute with studio bosses.

Carrey said in a statement:

“I would have thought ‘Dumb and Dumber To’ was a no-brainer. After all, it’s implied in the title.”

Sources close to the project told Entertainment Tonight:

“Carrey grew increasingly frustrated by New Line and Warner Brothers, who he felt showed a lack of enthusiasm regarding the project.”

The actor previously admitted he was keen on the idea and the movie was due to begin filming this September (2012), but the future of the project is now in doubt.

In an interview last summer (2011), he said:

“We’re talking about maybe returning to some old characters that everyone has been asking about.

“There’s ‘Bruce Almighty’ and we’re talking about maybe another ‘Dumb and Dumber’.”

Do we really need another Dumb And Dumber?
