JIM CARREY Wanted For KICK-ASS Sequel?

Jim Carrey Involved In Kick Ass 2?

Funnyman Jim Carrey is being courted for a role in superhero comedy sequel ‘Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall‘ – according to Deadline.com!

The 50-year-old ‘Batman Forever‘ star is being pursued for a supporting role in Jeff Wadlow‘s sequel to the 2010 superhero comedy. It is believed that he would play The Colonel, a man who assembles a team of misfit superheroes to fight evil. In the Mark Millar comic book series, Colonel Stars is a born again Christian superhero who forms the Justice Forever team, after leaving his mobster days behind him.

Carrey is reportedly a big fan of the original ‘Kick-Ass‘ film by Matthew Vaughn and he would join Chloe Moretz, Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Nicolas Cage – all of whom were in the first movie.

Other newcomers to the sequel include Donald Faison as Doctor Gravity, a student with delusions of grandeur and John Leguizamo as Javier, Red Mist‘s bodyguard.

Filming on Universal‘s ‘Kick-Ass 2‘ is set to begin next month (September, 2012), and it has a release date of June, 2013.
