Matthew McConaughey, The Lincoln Lawyer sequel, Latest Entertainment News

Last year’s (2011) critically acclaimed movie adaptation of Michael Connelly‘s novel ‘The Lincoln Lawyer‘ could be getting a sequel, and even Matthew McConaughey is keen!

At a ‘Killer Joe‘ press Q&A, asked McConaughey about the possibility of a big screen sequel, to which he responded:

“Man, I hope so. The update is I wish I knew more. The update is I wish I had that second script in my hand already and could have opinions on it and pass on notes. If that next script is [good]—and they are working on it, it’s being written—I would love to get in Mickey Haller’s shoes again. And that’s probably, of all the characters I’ve done, the one I’m most excited about—if it’s good, if the script’s good—of carrying on as a character.”

The actor adds it’s likely that they’ll be using two books (probably The Brass Verdict and The Reversal) for the sequel, with a view to having a much larger role for Bryan Cranston’s Detective Lankford character.

I say bring on quick!

If they do a sequel, they have to do it right so that they don’t mess up the first movie. They’ll need to stick closely to the books.

Any film with Matthew McConaughey is worth a sequel. Nothing to do with his acting ability 🙂

Loved the book, loved the film. I’m keeping everything crossed that they do a sequel! Thanks for posting this.
