Twilight Saga‘ star Robert Pattinson said he decided to accept a part on David Cronenberg‘s new movie, ‘Cosmopolis‘, mainly due to some other scripts being so “s**t”!

The British actor plays the lead role in Cronenberg‘s new movie and he revealed the script stood out for him because it was so well written in comparison to most others.

He tells Total Film:

”[With ‘Cosmopolis’] there was such a specific voice from the very beginning. It’s just really well written. Most scripts are really s**t and you’re just thinking ‘how can I make it better?’ but this one, all you had to do was just say it. A really s****y actor could just sit there and say it and make it sound really good.”

Pattinson was catapulted to fame for playing vampire Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight‘ franchise and revealed he hopes to use his star power to make smaller movies that wouldn’t otherwise get the funding to be made.

He explained:

”When you get some kind of success quite quickly you have to pay for it somehow, pay your dues and stuff. I want to support the whole part of the industry that I like and got me interested in film.

”With the limited amount of power I have I would love to use it to get indies which never would be made or seen, hopefully seen. And also I just want seem cool!”

Hmmm…that’s nice of him!
