Total Recall 2012, New Trailer, Colin Farrell

The nice guys at Columbia Pictures have released a new trailer for helmer Len Wiseman‘s ‘Total Recall‘, starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, John Cho and Bill Nighy.

The movie is an action thriller about reality and memory, inspired by the famous short story We Can Remember It For You Wholesale by Philip K. Dick. Forget your dreams, because a company called Rekall can turn your dreams into real memories!

Factory worker Douglas Quaid (played by Farrell) yearns for more, even though he’s got a beautiful wife (played by Beckinsale), and he’s curious about the mind-trip and decides to embark on a Rekall vacation from his frustrating life – real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs! But when the procedure goes pear-shaped, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen (played by Cranston), the leader of the free world, Quaid teams up with a rebel fighter (played by Biel) to find the head of the underground resistance (played by Nighy) and stop Cohaagen.

The line between fantasy and reality soon becomes blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers the life he thought was the norm was in-fact a dream in itself!

Total Recall‘ will be released on the 3rd August, 2012. Check out the trailer below!

The Arnie version was one movie and this is another. I for one won’t be comparing the two.
