SANDRA BULLOCK In Talks To Star IN ANNIE? - TOMORROW'S NEWS - The Latest Entertainment News Today!


Sorry folks but it looks as though the lovely Sandra Bullock is NOT in the running for Miss Hannigan – according to the Hollywood Reporter!


Sandra Bullock is apparently in “early” talks to star in SONY‘s upcoming updated remake of the classic musical ‘Annie‘ – according to!


The ‘Gravity‘ actress is up for the role of playing Miss Hannigan, the mean-spirited owner of the orphanage Annie lives in. If successful, she will join nine-year-old Oscar-nominee Quvenzhane Wallis who will star as the titular character in the new adaptation, which will be produced by actor Will Smith and rapper Jay-Z.

Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx has signed on to play Benjamin Stacks, a modern-day incarnation of the Daddy Warbucks character.

Along with big names on-screen, there are also some notably talented industry names behind the project. The musical is set to be helmed by ‘Easy A‘ director Will Gluck, from a script from penned by ‘Nanny McPhee‘ writer Emma Thompson, while co-producer Jay-Z will provide the score soundtrack to the movie.


Both Smith and with his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith will jointly serve as producers, and production is due to begin later this year (2013), with a view to releasing the movie in December 2014.
