AYELET ZURER Replaces JULIA ORMOND In ‘SUPERMAN’!

SUPERMAN‘s getting a new Kryptonian mum, in the shape of Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer – according to Deadline!

 

The ‘Angels & Demons‘ star has been set to play the role of Lara Lor-Van, Superman’s biological mother, in ‘Man of Steel‘, a role which was originally going to be played by Julia Ormond. At the moment there’s no news as to why Ormond was replaced.

 

Zurer is set to begin filming this week, and she’ll be starring opposite Henry Cavill who plays Superman, Russell Crowe plays Superman’s Kryptonian father, Jor-El, along with Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Michael Shannon.
