JOSH BROLIN To Star As DWIGHT In SIN CITY Sequel. - TOMORROW'S NEWS - The Latest Entertainment News Today!

Josh Brolin has been picked to replace Clive Owen as Dwight McCarthy in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller‘s crime thriller ‘Sin City: A Dame To Kill For‘!

 

Speaking about casting their central lead character, the moviemakers said:

“Dwight is a constant character throughout the Sin City world and ‘A Dame To Kill For’ is a defining episode in his life. We’re looking forward to Josh’s take on Dwight.”

 

Dwight, one of the most popular characters from Miller‘s original graphic novels, will be hunted down by the only woman he has ever loved, Ava Lord, before he ”watches his life go straight to hell”, according to Collider.com. There has been no word as yet on the casting of the evil Dame.
 

Gangster Squad‘ star Brolin, 44, joins ‘Law & Order‘ actor Christopher Meloni, who will play a dodgy cop, while Joseph Gordon-Levitt is negotiating a pivotal role as Johnny in the film noir style movie – which was originally offered to Johnny Depp. Other members of the cast include Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Dennis Haysbert and Jamie Chung.

 

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For‘ has been ear-marked for release in October 2013!
