Glastonbury Boss Believes Beyoncé Will Deliver An Explosive Show!

A booking boss for the famous Glastonbury festival has confessed she fought tooth and nail to sign Beyoncé as a headliner for this year’s event after she was “blown away” by the singer’s live show!

The R&B star confirmed last week (ending 11th February 2011) she had agreed to a headline slot at the traditionally rock-oriented festival, three years after her husband Jay-Z became the first high-profile rapper to perform on the bill.

And organiser Emily Eavis (pictured above), daughter of festival founder Michael Eavis, has revealed she booked the Crazy in Love hitmaker to keep the event’s line-up “diverse” – and she’d been eyeing Beyoncé after seeing her live in concert last year.

Eavis tells Glastonburyfestivals.co.uk:

“We really want the people who are the masters of their fields, and that’s what she is.

“I went to see her live last year and was blown away by the might of the show. She has such soul, an amazing voice with an incredible, all-female band. She knows how to deliver live, and she packs a big punch – it’s gonna explode!”
