Soul icon Stevie Wonder is to be honoured for his work as a United Nations Messenger of Peace at a concert in November (2011)!

Singer Chaka Khan, rapper Pras and Eric Benet are just some of the artists who will be paying tribute to the Superstition icon by performing his songs at the Never Again Peace Concert, on the 11th November, 2011, at Hollywood’s Universal CityWalk.

Wonder will be there to accept an award in recognition of his efforts for the United Nations.

Artists for Peace founder Flora Martirosian says:

“It is with great respect and pleasure that we are able to give the United Nations Messenger of Peace, the legendary Stevie Wonder, the AFP Angel Award for his ongoing work to help others through change.”

Proceeds from the event will go to charities including the Chaka Khan Foundation, We Are You Foundation and the Genocide Memorial Museum.
