Adam Levine Boycotts Favourite Restaurant Over Anti-Gay Marriage Stance

Maroon 5 have abandoned their post-Grammy Awards ritual of celebrating at a favourite Mexican hotspot after learning the owners were among those championing the bill that made gay marriage in California illegal!

The Moves Like Jagger hitmakers, who are nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance prize at next month’s (February 2012) ceremony, have “bailed” on their traditional post-Grammys party venue. Wasting no time, frontman Adam Levine is now on the hunt for a new place to hold the bash.

Defending the band’s decision, he tells People magazine:

“We used to go to this Mexican restaurant to celebrate after the Grammys but the place supported the movement to make gay marriage illegal (in California) so we bailed on that.”

Maroon 5 have now gone up in my estimations!
