ADAM ANT Braves The Stage For His Comeback Gig!

Eighties singer Adam Ant staged his pop comeback at a gig in London on Tuesday night (29th March 2011).

The Prince Charming hitmaker played a series of his classic hits, including Stand and Deliver and Antmusic, during the show at a club in the capital’s Chelsea area.

The musician will be setting off on a tour around the U.K. in May 2011 – his first full tour for 15 years, and he spoke of his joy at being back on stage after years of mental health issues affected his performing and songwriting skills.

After the gig, he said:

“I’m really looking forward to (the tour)… I missed it – that’s what I do. And (I missed) the money… (It’s more fun) now I know what I’m doing.”

Ant (a.k.a. Stuart Goddard) played the show with his new band The Good, The Mad And The Lovely Posse, which includes backing singer Georgina Baillie – who hit the headlines back in 2008, when she was the subject of lewd prank calls by funnyman Russell Brand to her uncle, British actor Andrew Sachs.
