CORRIE Star MICHAEL LE VELL Denies Sex Abuse Claims!

Michael Le Vell, star of British TV soap opera ‘CORONATION STREET‘, has promised to prove his innocence following his arrest on suspicion of sexually abusing a schoolgirl!


The 46-year-old, who has played mechanic Kevin Webster on the hit drama for 28 years, was taken in by police on Friday (30th September 2011) for questioning.

The married father-of-two was released on bail and has vehemently denied the allegations, stating:

“I strenuously deny these allegations and will do everything in my power to prove my innocence.”


A police spokesperson said:

“A 46-year-old man from Hale (England) has been arrested on suspicion of a historic sexual offence. He has been bailed by police until 16 November 2011, pending further inquiries. The report was made to police on Thursday 29 September 2011.”


ITV also said in a statement:


“We are aware these allegations have been made. Given that a police investigation is underway, it would not be appropriate to comment further on this matter.”
