Leona Lewis Is LONDON’S MOST INFLUENTIAL WOMAN!

British singer Leona Lewis has been named the most influential woman in London – according to a poll by the U.K’s Metro newspaper!

The Bleeding Love hitmaker topped a list which looked for the most inspirational female to live or work in the U.K. capital in the past century.

She polled 70 per cent of the 10,000 votes cast, pushing former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher into second place. Justine Roberts, who founded hit parenting website Mumsnet.com, came in third place.

And Lewis is delighted with her place in London’s history, telling fans her rise from humble beginnings in the city’s borough of Hackney proves “you can do anything”.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes:

“Wow I got named the Most Influential Londoner! Amazing! Thank u everyone that voted… I hope that kids from Hackney & other poorer London boroughs, c (see) this as an inspiration! U can do anything, it doesn’t matter where your (sic) from!”

The poll was held to mark International Women’s Day on Tuesday (8th March 2011).

What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.
