Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger felt the wrath of soul singer Joss Stone while collaborating in the studio, after told young star her songwriting was “rubbish”!

The duo has teamed up to record new material as rock supergroup Super Heavy, which also features the EurythmicsDave Stewart, reggae superstar Damian Marley and Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman.

But the Jumpin’ Jack Flash singer admits their jam sessions weren’t without confrontation.

He recalls:

“We were writing a lot of stuff and throwing it away. I would say, ‘That’s rubbish, another cliché, Joss.’ And she’d reply, ‘Well, you come up with something then!'”

Super Heavy is due to release its debut LP in September 2011!

It takes guts to speak up for yourself, especially to a veteran rocker such as Jagger! Well done, Joss.
