Williams To Interview Franklin In Her First Post-Op TV Appearance!

Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin is set to open up about the health troubles that led to her hospitalisation in an exclusive interview with U.S. TV presenter Wendy Williams.

The singer sparked fears for her health when a mystery illness prompted her to scrap a series of end-of-year shows in 2010. She underwent surgery to treat the ailment in December 2010, and last month dismissed reports she had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, insisting in January this year the condition had been resolved.

But the Respect hitmaker is now ready to reveal all, and she has granted her first big post-surgery interview to Williams, inviting the TV host to her Detroit, Michigan home for high tea.

The chat will take place later this week and will air on ‘The Wendy Williams Show‘ shortly afterwards.

Regarding getting back to work, Franklin will be making her live comeback at the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel in Buffalo, New York on 28 May 2011, before performing a three-night stand from 3rd to 5th June 2011 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.
