TRUE BLOOD Stars In Auction Competition.

True Blood‘ stars Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgård have been competing to raise the most money for their favourite charities with a series of online auctions. Although they’re both doing well, it would seem that Moyer has pulled out an unlikely gem…quite literally.

Both actors have put personal items and memorabilia up for sale on eBay.com and the star with the smallest total at the end of the contest has agreed to be photographed wearing a t-shirt designed by the winner.

Moyer‘s ‘modesty sock’ (used to cover his genitals during filming of the hit vampire show) is proving popular with fans, with the highest bid currently standing at $545 (£363), while an autographed script has reached $900 (£600).

The Brit is backing the Gulf Aid organisation, while Skarsgard has picked the SOS Children’s Villages charity, which aims to help orphaned kids in the Ukraine.

Both are worthy causes…but to view what the stars are auctioning, have a look at the pages below:

I think it's absolutely terrific what both these actors are doing and that Mr. Moyer's rather unusual (hehe) auction item seems to be garnering more attention for the charity contest. However, as a firm member of the Team Eric camp, I appreciate his auctions being highlighted as well. I mean while a sock of destiny is much more water-cooler worthy, I believe Alexander Skarsgard's two signed scripts with his personal notes in them are awesome items to have. And the auctions are ending soon!

Alexander's charity, the SOS Children's Villages, is a really great organization. Here's a little info from the alexskarsgard.net website:

"an organization that focuses on family-based, long-term care of children who can no longer grow up with their biological families. At SOS Children’s Villages and SOS Youth Facilities they experience reliable relationships and love once again, meaning that they can recover from what they have experienced, which has often been traumatic. They grow up in a stable family environment, and are supported individually until they become independent young adults."

And even if you can't afford to get in on the auctions (Unforunately, I know I can't!) you can donate to either charity on either site until September 12!

    Thanks so much! 😀

    Thanks for the assistance! 🙂

Yes, the story I was focussing on was Stephen's modesty sock, which when paired against the signed scripts from Alex, it wouldn't really do them any justice to compare the two.

But yes, Alex is also including some of his personal items to try to raise the most money.

Whoever wins, a charity will obviously reap the rewards (both being great cause). Mustn't forget that!

Yet somehow you don't find necessary to mention that Alex also has items for aution fo rthis contest, much less post the links. But I'll help you out, here they are.
