Lynch Set To Host This Year’s EMMY AWARDS?

After Neil Patrick Harris‘ successful stint as host on the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2009, Fox have turned to another standout performer on a hit comedy series to take over the gig – ‘Glee‘ star Jane Lynch.

Lynch impressed the network after hosting their upfront presentations for the past two years as her ‘Glee‘ character Sue Sylvester. With her background as an actress/comedian and singer, she emerged as a ideal choice to host the awards ceremony. Other Fox personalities that reportedly had been considered include ‘Family Guy‘ creator Seth MacFarlane, who has hosted roasts and can sing too, but not exactly a safe pair of hands.

The obvious Fox choice, previous Emmy host Ryan Seacrest, may have been too awkward as he embodies Fox‘s ‘American Idol‘ and the Emmys will air just as Fox will be launching its new singing series – Simon Cowell‘s U.S. X Factor.

According to Deadline.com the TV Academy’s board of governors will gather together tomorrow night, where it is believed they may approve the new host of the Emmy ceremony then.
