Linda Gray: “You Don’t Mess With Sue Ellen!”

By on 10 February, 2011

With news of ‘Dallas‘ returning to the small screen still sinking in, Linda Gray has stated her return will be far from the wealthy senior citizen viewers will be expecting Sue Ellen Ewing to be – as Access Hollywood reports!

Speaking on the red carpet for New York Fashion Week‘s Red Dress Show, she speculates as to what J.R.‘s on-off wife will be like in the new pilot for the TNT network:

“She’d probably be a powerhouse.”

Sue Ellen was never a force to be reckoned with, and it looks like things aren’t going to change that much.

She adds:

“We don’t mess with Sue Ellen.

“You don’t mess with Texas and you don’t mess with Sue Ellen.”

The new series is set to feature the original J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) and Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy), and there are a host of new faces joining the legendary Southfork oil-wealthy families, which were first introduced to audiences in the late 1970’s.

TNT confirmed to Access Hollywood that former ‘Chase‘ and ‘Desperate Housewives‘ actor Jesse Metcalfe had been cast as Christopher (adopted son of Bobby and Pamela Ewing). Other young stars set for the pilot include another Josh Henderson (set to play John RossJ.R.‘s son) and Jordana Brewster (‘Fast & Furious‘).

Brewster is set to spice things up in her role as Elena, who becomes involved in a love triangle between John and his cousin, Christopher.

The brand new ‘Dallas pilot – of which an airdate has yet to be determined – will focus on the Ewing offspring as they clash over the family dynasty.
