Natalie Dormer Joins ABC’s ‘POE’ Pilot!

The Tudors‘ star Natalie Dormer has been cast to star in a brand new ABC pilot, titled ‘Poe‘ – according to The Hollywood Reporter!


The Warner Bros. TV led project tells the story of the world’s first detective, Edgar Allan Poe (played by ‘Letters To Juilet‘ star Christopher Egan), who uses unconventional means to uncover mysteries. The series will be set in Boston during the 1840s.

Dormer, who is currently starring in BBC’s ‘Silk‘, will play the part of Celeste, and she will join the likes of Kevin McNally, Tabrett Bethell and  Leslie Odom Jr. on the pilot.

‘Alias‘ writer Chris Hollier will pen and executive produce the pilot, along with Dan Lin (‘The Departed‘, ‘Sherlock Holmes‘) and Brad Kern (‘Human Target‘, ‘Charmed‘) serving as executive producers. ‘The West Wing‘ helmer Alex Graves is on board to direct.
