THE 69TH ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS – The Winners!

 

While the stars of the small and big screen begin to recall the antics of the night before, the world had a chance to reflect on the outcome of one of the precursors to the Oscars – the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards!

 

Now, were there any major surprises? ‘The Artist‘ emerged with the gong for Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical and it looks like this picture won’t silenced on Oscar night! However, ‘The Descendants‘ looks like it could have the last laugh.

Acting wise, Meryl Streep and Michelle Williams thoroughly deserved their win, for their biopic roles on the big screen, and yes, it would have been a serious crime for them not to have won. It was also a deserving win for British talent such as Kate Winslet, Julian Fellowes for ‘Downton Abbey‘ and the fantastic Idris Elba (soon to be seen in the ‘Alien‘ prequel ‘PROMETHEUS‘).
