By on 2 September, 2010

EW has confirmed that ‘LOST‘ J.J. Abrams, together with executive producer Elizabeth Sarnoff, are gearing up to pitch a new show called ‘Alcatraz‘, a drama about the infamous prison in the San Francisco Bay – news originally reported by Deadline.com.

Abrams will produce the project through his Bad Robots company based at Warner Bros. TV. Sarnoff, who joined ‘LOST‘ in its second season, wrote the initial script. The duo will be touring the broadcast networks, in the hope that one of them will snap it up.

Going by J.J’s previous record, they should be practically biting his hand off!
