Third Season Of LUTHER In The Works?

Some great news for ‘LUTHER‘ fans everywhere may be pleased to know that BBC America has committed to co-produce and air a four-episode third season of the Idris Elba-led hit series – according to The Chicago Tribune!

 

A third season was given the green light by the Beeb in the U.K. a few months ago, but no filming dates have been revealed yet, nor whether we will see the gritty detective back on our screens this year or next (2013).
 

Unfortunately there is some bad news for fans of Luther‘s unofficial partner-in-crime, Alice, as it looks like that Ruth Wilson won’t be returning in this forthcoming series as the British actress has her hands tied with Disney‘s ‘The Lone Ranger‘ movie.

 

Some would say she was one of the best characters to feature in the show, but I’ll be happy when Luther‘s back on our TV screens! Who knows, maybe Alice may make a small cameo?
