JAMES CAMERON Believes GRAVITY Is The Best Space Film Ever!

JAMES CAMERON On GEORGE CLOONEY's GRAVITY Movie! TOMORROW'S NEWS - The Latest Entertainment News Today!

James Cameron has given notable praise on Alfonso Cuaron‘s new space movie ‘Gravity‘, saying it’s the “best space film” ever made!

The Oscar-winning ‘Avatar‘ and ‘ALIENS‘ director believes the breath-taking new flick, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, had one of the “best space photography” he’s ever seen.

He tells Variety!

“I was stunned, absolutely floored. I think it’s the best space photography ever done, I think it’s the best space film ever done, and it’s the movie I’ve been hungry to see for an awful long time.”

The helmer was also impressed by Oscar-winner Bullock‘s performance as Dr. Ryan Stone, a medical engineer who goes on a space mission with astronaut Matt Kowalsky (played by Clooney), but finds herself drifting aimlessly through space when their shuttle crashes.

Cameron added:

“What is interesting is the human dimension … Alfonso and Sandra working together to create an absolutely seamless portrayal of a woman fighting for her life in zero gravity.

“I think it’s really important for people in Hollywood to understand what was accomplished here.”

Gravity‘ has been generating a bit of a buzz already after gaining early praise from critics ahead of its US release in October and UK release in November.

Following its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, it was recently announced the film will be screened at the BFI London Film Festival next month (October, 2013).
