WESTLIFE To Take Hiatus In 2012 – But They’re Not Splitting Up!
Today definitely appears to be a day for Louis Walsh-related news! First he dumps Boyzone, and now WESTLIFE have said they are planning to take a break from the group in 2012, to work on “other projects”!
The four-piece are set to release their second greatest hits album this Christmas (2011) and singer Kian Egan admits it’ll be the last group venture for a while.
Speaking to the U.K.’s Sunday Star, he says:
“We’ll be taking a good while away from the spotlight from next year. We’ve all got other projects on the go and I don’t want people to get sick of hearing us.
“I want us to go back to having tour hits from an album – we only had one from the last record.”
But fans needn’t worry too much, as Egan states that they will be back together again soon, insisting:
“That doesn’t mean we’re splitting.”
