LILY COLLINS Set To Play SNOW WHITE!

Loads of news trickling from the wonderful world of WONDERCON, and the top news today reveals that Phil Collins‘ actress daughter Lily is to play Snow White – opposite Julia Roberts in cult helmer Tarsem Singh‘s quirky take on the classic story!

‘The Blind Side‘ actress is due to start shooting the film next month (May 2011), and she admits the role is a fairytale come true.

Announcing the big casting news at WONDERCON, the comic book and movie convention in San Francisco, California, she states:

“Snow White was my favorite fairytale, and when I first read about the project, I was like, ‘I have to get in on this.'”

And director Singh admits he knew she was the girl to play Snow White when he first saw her eyebrows:

“When I saw her I just said, ‘She doesn’t even have to try at all.'”

Julia Roberts will play the Evil Queen in the fairytale retelling – one of two major Snow White movie projects.

The second, ‘Snow White and the Huntsman‘, will star Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen and Kristen Stewart as the beloved princess.

But which will emerge as the best adaptation? Obviously it’s way too early to tell!
