Moviemaking genius David Lynch is relaunching his official website as an online music store, showcasing new songs and sound clips from his movie archive with fans around the world!

The ‘Twin Peaks‘ helmer (who has his own music label – David Lynch MC) previously used DavidLynch.com as a creative space to give devotees a glimpse into his surrealist mind, but he struggled to regularly update the site and eventually abandoned it altogether.

He has since turned his attention to a career in music, and released his debut single Good Day Today in November 2010. And Lynch is now set to return to his website, after having it redesigned as “a secret room filled with music”.

In an email to the New York Times, he writes:

“This thing of the web is so magical – the way it works – we just hit a few buttons and we feel we’re with the world.”

The revamped DavidLynch.com will be unveiled on Thursday 10th March 2011.

Lynch previously dabbled in music for the soundtracks of his movies, where he co-wrote and produced songs such as Mysteries of Love and the haunting ‘Twin Peaks‘ theme Falling. He also won a Best Pop Instrumental Grammy in 2008.
