WHO Will Be The New DOCTOR?
As Matt Smith’s adventures as DOCTOR WHO draws to a close, attention is now focussed on who will be the next Time Lord. But fear not, as months of rumours and speculation will be finally silenced with an announcement, to be broadcast live on BBC1 this weekend (4th August, 2013)!
Hosted by Zoe Ball, the half hour ‘Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor‘ will air at 7pm (11 AM PT – BBC America) and the actor taking over the role of the Twelfth DOCTOR WHO will be interviewed on the show, alongside Smith, the show’s exec producer Steven Moffat, previous Doctors and other guests. It was announced in early June that Smith would be leaving the role of the Eleventh Doctor, after nearly four years in the role.He is shooting his final episode now, and will be seen regenerating later this year.
The news comes as the series prepares for its 50th anniversary special on the 23rd November, 2013. The new Doctor will make his (or her) debut in the Christmas Special.
