JAY Z Writing GREAT GATSBY Score? - TOMORROW'S NEWS - The Latest Entertainment News Today!

Baz Luhrmann’s vision of the English literary classic ‘The Great Gatsby‘ is looking to be one of the must-see movies of 2013, especially with the amount of cash that has been spent on filming, and a stellar cast which includes the likes Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan. However it now looks like another big name is likely to be added to the credits, as rapper JAY-Z looks set to write the score for the movie!

Jeymes Samuel of The Bullitts revealed on TWITTER that he is teaming up with JAY-Z to write the score for the latest adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel, which recounts the story of a millionaire through America’s prosperous Twenties era.

Samuel wrote:

Neither Luhrmann or JAY-Z have confirmed this, but apparently the director is keen to surround himself with the rapper’s tracks while on the set of the film. If Samuel‘s post carries any truth, this could mean that Luhrmann will once again be bringing something vibrant and fresh to the big screen. One can only hope!
