HANGOVER 3? Helms Doesn’t Think So!

By on 27 January, 2011

The Hangover star Ed Helms has warned fans not to expect a third installment in the comedy franchise – because helmer Todd Phillips won’t “let that happen”.

The moviemaker’s 2009 comedy, starring Helms alongside Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha and Heather Graham, turned out to be a critical and commercial success, notching a massive $467 million (£311 million) at the worldwide box office AND winning a Golden Globe award for Best Picture – Musical or Comedy.

The cast are currently filming the sequel, which will see the characters travel to Thailand for a wedding, but Helms stresses they won’t be reprising their roles a third time!

When asked about the possibility of another sequel, he tells the Los Angeles Times:

“I doubt it. I don’t think Todd would let that happen… I would hope that The Hangover kind of has a dignified legacy, if that makes any sense.”

Could this be a good thing?
