Third AMY WINEHOUSE Album Won’t Be Released Anytime Soon!

Amy Winehouse‘s producer Salaam Remi has told fans that the late singer’s much-awaited third album is not complete, and won’t be released in the near future!

Following the star’s death at the weekend (23rd July 2011), speculation has grown about the material she recorded for her highly anticipated follow-up to 2006’s Back to Black, which was due to be released last year (2010).

The singer’s unreleased work was said to be enough to fill three albums, but Remi, a long-time music producer and pal of Winehouse, insists it was nowhere near completion when she died, and slams rumours of an impending release – stating that there’s no truth in them.

Speaking on New York radio station Power 105.1 FM, he says:

“We were working on it; it’s not a complete album. We had a lot of things going, there are recordings, but first things first, I think. We’re trying to focus on what’s at hand and what her family wants to do. So those reports (of a release) are false.

“To put it all in a nutshell, Amy loved to sing, to write… that ability never left her. She was very good at channelling her emotions into lyrics, and then being able to sing them. She was in a place to go forward and make it happen… The way that Amy and I always created was she would write and we would toss ideas around.

“Amy had strong opinions on everything… She was very opinionated about what she liked. At the end, she was a real person. She had a huge heart.”
