Marvel fans get ready. The long wait is finally over for ‘Captain America: Civil War‘, the third instalment to 2011’s ‘Captain America: The First Avenger‘ and 2014’s ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘, and the thirteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Deadpool‘ may kick off 2016’s super hero fest, but according to Screen Rant ‘Captain America: Civil War‘ is definitely the one to look out for.

Get ready to be totally blown away. Word on the street is that this film may be better than ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘! And that’s saying a lot since ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘ is widely considered to be the best solo Marvel movie to date (Birth.Movies.Death).

The story follows on, a year later, from ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron‘ as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued objective to protect the world.

The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, and features an incredible cast that includes Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Sebastian Stan (Winter Solider), Anthony Mackie (The Falcon), Emily VanCamp (Agent 13), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Paul Bettany (Vision), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Frank Grillo (Crossbones), Daniel Brühl (Baron Zemo), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Gene Farber (Karpov) and William Hurt (Thunderbolt Ross).

The aftermath of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron‘ left a notorious mark on the world, with the extensive collateral damage caused. This causes the collective governments of the world to pass an act regulating super-human activity with government oversight and accountability for the Avengers. Allowing them to determine when to enlist the services of the team.

This causes a fracture in the team into two opposing factions, one led by Captain America, Steve Rogers, and the other by Iron Man, Tony Stark.

Steve Rogers opposes the idea because he believes the Avengers should be free to defend humanity without any interference from any government. Tony Stark on the other hand, makes a surprising decision to support the government act to have control over them. We already know what these guys are like when they disagree, but this will take it to the next level and sparks will definitely fly.

A post-Age Of Ultron world sees Tony Stark (Iron Man) facing off against Steve Rogers (Captain America). A war between former allies.

It goes without saying that the storyline sounds like it will be epic, and definitely won’t hold back.
Also, aside from our old favourites, the film also introduces several new major characters like Spider-Man and Black Panther, adding to the already fantastic superhero cast.

Each movie just gets better and better, raising our excitement, and if the reviews from audience testings’ so far are true then we’re all in for a real super-sized treat.

So fans, gear up for what could be the biggest super hero smack down of all time.

Coming soon to a cinema near you from April 29th 2016.
